Hey guys,

This is the first email you've ever received from me that I actually wrote myself. Until now, Ken Cannon drafted the emails, and I simply looked over them.

Ken Cannon is incredible at Japanese and an amazing Japanese teacher, and to this day I have the utmost respect for him.

But, his style of marketing is something I never resonated with. To be honest, I always thought the clickbaity emails Ken wrote were cringe. But, within our work partnership, Ken was in charge of marketing. So, I generally let him have the final say.

And that's something I deeply regret. If you're reading this, you signed up to hear from me. I never should have sent out emails that I wasn't truly happy with. So, I want to apologize for that, and let you know it's never going to happen again.

From here on out, everything you receive from this email address will actually be written by me, and I'm committed to going back to how I originally was on YouTube: straightforward, transparent, and no-bullshit.

For the last year, Ken and I were running a group coaching program called "Fluency Incubator". Ken and I had challenges in communication and coordinating live classes with each other, and that caused us to fall behind on content production. As a result, we decided it would be best to transition to doing separate things.

That said, overall Fluency Incubator was a success, and the students seemed to really benefit from it. So, now that Ken and I are parting ways, I'm starting my own online learning community built around a similar style of group coaching. I'm calling it the Immersion Dojo.
